# Share & export

> Share a conversation with a public link, or download it as Markdown, JSON or PDF.

## Share a public link

<Steps>

    In the chat's menu, choose **Share & Export**.

    Click **Create Link**. The link is copied to your clipboard.

Anyone with the link can view the conversation as it was when you shared it. Messages you add afterwards stay private.

  Shared links are public. Don't share conversations containing confidential information.

### Revoke a link

Go to **Settings → Shared Links** to see every link you've created. Click **Unshare** to revoke one. People with the link can no longer view the conversation.

## Download a conversation

From **Share & Export**, under **Download**:

| Format | Best for |
| - | - |
| **Markdown** | Pasting into docs, wikis or notes. |
| **JSON** | Keeping a structured, machine-readable copy. |
| **Print** | Printing or saving as PDF from your browser's print dialog. |
