Attach files

Click + next to the message box and choose Upload File, or drag files onto the chat. You can attach images, PDFs, text and Markdown, CSV and JSON, Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, archives, audio and video. Each file can be up to 50 MB.
Whether the model can read a file depends on the model. Most current models read images; many read PDFs directly. If a model can’t read an attachment, switch to one that lists Image Input or File Upload in its capabilities.
For documents you’ll ask about repeatedly, add them to a project or a knowledge base instead of attaching them to every chat. Your admin can turn file uploads off for the organization. Organizations on the Free plan have 1 GB of file storage.

Generate images

Click + → Generate Image and describe the image you want. If more than one image model is enabled, pick one from the menu. The image appears in the conversation, and you can ask for changes or regenerate it. Image generation uses image models from your organization’s providers, such as OpenAI and Google. If you see No image models enabled, ask an admin to add a key for a provider with image models. Admins can turn image generation off in Admin → Settings → Chat Features.

Dictate a message

Click the microphone icon and speak. Your words appear in the message box as you talk; click again to stop. Review the text, then send it. Dictation uses your browser’s built-in speech recognition, so it works in browsers that support it, such as Chrome, Edge and Safari.
