Overview

A temporary chat is a scratch conversation that isn’t saved to your history. Use it for quick, throwaway questions.

Start a temporary chat

Press ⌘ Shift E (Ctrl Shift E) or click the temporary chat toggle in the header. The panel says This chat won’t be saved.
  • Click Reset Chat to clear it and start over.
  • Open Temporary Chat Instructions to set a system prompt for the temporary chat only.
When you close the panel, the conversation is gone.
Admins can turn temporary chats off in Admin → Settings → Chat Features.
