Overview
Connectors link Wirebase to outside services using the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Each connector adds tools, such as “create a GitHub issue” or “search Notion”, that the assistant can use in chat, in agents and in workflows. Find connectors under Workspace → Connectors.Adding connectors requires the editor or admin role. Every member can use connectors shared with them. Admins can turn connectors off for the organization.
Add a connector from the library
The Discover tab lists popular remote MCP servers, including GitHub, Notion, Linear, Atlassian, Asana, Stripe, PayPal, Canva and Neon. Click Connect on one. If the service uses OAuth, you’ll be sent to sign in and approve access, then returned to Wirebase.Add a custom connector
Click Add custom connector and fill in:
You can switch to Edit as JSON to paste a configuration with a
url and optional headers.
Wirebase connects to remote MCP servers over HTTPS. Local servers that run as a command on your computer (stdio) aren’t supported. To build your own server, see Build an MCP connector.
Authorize a connector
If a connector shows Authorization needed, click Authorize and complete the service’s sign-in. By default, each user authorizes separately and the connector acts with their own account. Turn on Shared Authentication to have everyone share one OAuth session.Test tools
Open a connector to see its tools. Select a tool to view its input schema, then use Tools Test to call it with sample input. Create Input with AI drafts example input from a short prompt.Customize how tools are used
Add custom instructions to guide the model:- Connector Customization applies whenever the connector is available. Example: “Always search the Engineering space first.”
- Tool Customization Instructions apply to one tool. Example: “Always enter the email in the format example@example.com.”
